We need your ideas, skills and dedication. Please consider any or all of the following:
1. If you are registered as a Republican, come to a meeting. If you like what you see, apply to join our club.
2. Long term, our goal is to build a strong and effective team, in a friendly and social environment, that will have an impact on Sarasota County politics by recruiting, training, supporting and retaining the loyalty of candidates and elected officials who will look after the interests of the voters of Sarasota County. To do that we will need dedicated people, a good number of whom will need to have or be willing to learn specialized skills. Those skills will be wide ranging, from baking a cake or making a meal to teaching, graphic design, photography & video editing, etc, etc, etc.
Think about the last time you saw the credits scroll at the end of a movie. All the names of those involved in making it, from to stars, director and producer to the best boy and the grip. Most of those listed have very specialized skills, some technical, others not. Running a political campaign is much like that. There is a start to the campaign and an ending on election day. In between, a whole team needs to do a job. We are asking you to be part of a team that can do that for many candidates at the same time. A team that can lessen the effects of big money and special interests on the election process so as to take back control of government for the people.
